Little Lanes Initiative

The Little Lanes Initiative is a small group of Orleans resident volunteers supporting homes for middle income families.

Our Vision

• Charming mini neighborhoods of deed-restricted year-round homes in the walkable downtown center. 
• Homes for purchase by local working families with household incomes too high to qualify for housing subsidies, but not high enough to purchase the homes typically  available in the Lower Cape Cod area.
• Condominium style ownership for stable and sustainable community living.
• Private market development, without public subsidy.

Our Mission

• Support the private market in the development of non subsidized attainable homes to strengthen communities.
• Draw together experts, with authoritative knowledge in development, construction, finance, banking, investment, real estate, law, and town government. 
• Share the results of extensive research, at no charge, with developers, builders and home buyers who share our vision and want to work together.

• Attainable homes support vibrant sustainable communities.
